ANNUAL EXHIBITION 2024

This year's Arun Art Society Annual Exhibition, held at the Baptist Church, Ferring and part of the Ferring Village Festival, attracted a steady flow of people over its three day run. There were plenty of positive comments from visitors and a number of paintings and three dimensional work was sold, as well as a brisk trade in greetings cards featuring work by AAS members. The raffle raised £200 for this year's chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Making the exhibition happen relies on team work and the willingness of the committee and Society members to pitch in, from organising the venue, mounting the screens, displaying the artwork, preparing the paperwork, stewarding the opening times, providing refreshments and of course, taking down the exhibition at the end, not forgetting, of course, the wonderful artwork members contribute. It doesn't all end there though, as the Treasurer is then busy dealing with the finances!

Below are some photos from the exhibition and a selection of work that was on show. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Greetings cards and unframed work were also on sale, adding to the dilemma of what to buy.

The wide variety of subjects, media and approaches, demonstrates the diversity of  AAS members.
