ANNUAL EXHIBITION 2025
Arun Art Society’s Annual Exhibition was again held in Ferring’s Baptist Church. This large, airy space is ideal for showcasing the very talented and diverse artwork of the Society’s members. Although this year there was no Ferring Festival to participate in, the exhibition nonetheless attracted a large audience, and sales of pictures and greetings cards amounted to just under £1,000. The raffle was also well supported, with the proceeds being donated to the local Rockinghorse Children’s Charity and the international charity, Sightsavers.

The venue allowed for chairs to be arranged in the formation used by commercial galleries and enabled visitors to enjoy the pictures more leisurely.

'Best Picture in Show' went to Julie Burnett-Kirk for her richly atmospheric seascape with its rather surreal deckchair, familiar to all those who know Ferring beach.

Greeting cards were also on sale.

Raffle prizes include a member's painting. Two chairties benefited from tickets sold.

Three dimensional3D work was also on show.

As usual, the exhibition relies upon the input of not only the Society's committee but other members who pitch in to help with the many tasks necessary to ensuring the exhibtion is a success, from mounting screens, stewarding, dismounting the exhibition and of course, submitting the work which makes the show such a triumph and celebration of the wonderful activity of making art.

This year's exhbition poster featured the work of more than one artist. The work on show represents many different subjects and media.
