WEEKLY PRACTICAL SESSIONS 2024

​

From September to April practical sessions are held every Wednesday from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm. in Ferring Village Club Room and The Griffin Room. Members usually work on their own projects but occasionally there are optional set themes, such as still life set-ups. From May to September outdoor sessions are held at local venues.

​DEMONSTRATIONS AND WORKSHOPS 2024

 

Demonstrations are free to members; we welcome non-members for a nominal fee of £5. As part of our partnership with Arundel Art Society, members have free access to each other's demonstrations and on similar terms to other arranged events.

Demonstration -Oil Pastels with Stephen Cheeseman -Ferring Village Hall (club room) 2 pm to 4 pm

Workshop - Watercolour with Joe Dowden - St Andrews Church Hall 10 am - 4 pm

Demonstration - Oils and Pastels with Rick Holmes - Ferring Village Hall 2 pm to 4 pm

An accomplished artist with 40 years experience. He works largely en plein air and covers a wide range of subjects. His topic for the demo will be a harbour scene. Website:ickholmesartist.com

Workshop - Various Media - "Unleashing Colour" with Steve Carroll - Ferring Village Hall 12 pm to 4 pm

Vastly experienced in both practical and theoretical aspects of art, he will be emphasising the importance of colour and how best to use it. website:stevecarrollarttutor.uk

Saturday 19th October

Demonstration - Pastel/Charcoal with Debbie Hinks - Ferring Village Hall 2 pm to 4 pm

With 25 years experience as a professional illustrator, she is a talented artist and entertaining demonstrator specialising in life drawing and figurative illustration. Website: debbiehinks.com
